Musings 91--About the abouts...

About what George jr. knows.

So the way that it shakes down is George jr., who said he was going to lead an investigation into who leaked Valerie Plame's name to the press, now knows who it is, but he is not going to tell us. At least that is the story that the lesser demon Robert Novak is telling. (See Link)

I guess it comes down to semantics. George jr. did not say that he would tell us, he just said he would do an investigation. So why is Novak putting Bush jr. on the spot. Maybe the little demon feels that his daddy the Anti-Christ has forsaken him. Well, join the crowd, Robert. Get used to the feeling.

About being for or against Torture.

It seems kind of silly for Secretary Rice to tell all the leaders of the world that we are against torture as we move prisoners from place to place and country to country. It is the mind set of "do as I say, not as I do." Senator John McCain's bill is picking up steam. It has passed the senate and will probably pass the house. Then what will Georgee jr. and his minions do? Well that is easy...they will ignore it and keep doing it. These guys answer to no one.

About the election in Iraq.

I hope that things turn out right after these elections. However, I get the feeling that we are very close to a civil war between the Sunis and the Sheites. Iran would love that. Plus, I read the story about truck loads of ballots flowing into Iraq from Iran. Well, at least they learned that much about democracy. It brings back memories of Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004.

About Christmas.

Bill O'Reilly and Fox have tried to cook up a big stink over folks devaluing Christmas by saying "Happy Holidays." It pretty much has failed, along with any credibility that O'Reilly and his news channel ever had. Their ratings have slipped quite a bit. Although they still lead cable in total audience, their numbers have slipped from a high of about 4.5 to 1.8 million viewers per night. CNN has maintained about 1.0 with MSNBC holding at between .3 and .45.

I must be the only one watching Countdown.
