Musings 83--Ten soliders in two days...

There are a lot of things that I could be commenting on today, but I have chosen not to. The death toll in Iraq is now 2079 and climbing with more than 15,000 wounded. The following three verses sum up my feelings on the Iraq War. (See the link)

We've lost ten soldiers in two days...
Ten of our best are gone.
Our leader says we must stay the course,
But, we've still lost ten soldiers in two days.

Today, ten families have sorrow and grief...
Ten soldiers they bade farewell.
The President says they will not be forgotten,
But, ten families still have sorrow and grief.

We've lost ten soldiers in two days..
To this there seems to be no end
For the many familes with sorrow and grief.
We've still lost ten soldiers in two days.

It is good to have you home and safe and sound Lt. Col. Pat Ward. You did your time, now kiss the wife and hug the kid...a lot.
